May Day

Today was May Day - international workers' day. For myself, in my political transformation, I've grown from being dismissive of workers concerns, to mildly accepting, to outright sympathetic.

There are many inequalities still here in America, and around the world. People are being taken advantage of, allowing millionaries to make even more, riding on the backs of poor minimum wage labor. There is a better way of doing things. Big business America must take an active role in setting the example for the world in treatment of workers providing health care, competitive wages, and job security.
